At the moment, we only have a few more days of sunlight left before loosing the sun for the winter.  Of course, because SANAE IV is &#8216;only&#8217; at 72\u00c2\u00b0 south, we &#8216;only&#8217; have 2 months of permanent darkness.  The image above is a projection of the current sunlight distribution on the planet, updated hourly, with 3-hourly satellite weather photographs, so this is pretty much what the planet looks like right now.
