International Polar Year Documentary
South Africa is an active participant in many of the collaborative scientific experiments of the current 4th International Polar Year (IPY 2007-2008). As part of the program, the National Research Foundation (NRF) has commissioned a documentary film on SANAE. Internationally acclaimed film-makers Damon and Lauren Foster (Foster Brothers Film Productions) have risen to the challenge. Having taken part in the expedition during the 2007-8 summer, they capture all aspects of the unique environment, trials, tribulations and successes.
The film has been released on DVD in South Africa and is available  world-wide via their web-site, www.senseafrica.com. I have some of the rough-cut footage here:
